SRAM engineered the XX Eagle Transmission rear derailleur to be a core component of the most robust drivetrain system available. This derailleur uses a hangerless interface that mounts directly to the wheel axle, creating a permanent, secure connection to the frame. By removing the traditional derailleur hanger, SRAM ensures that the derailleur maintains perfect shifting alignment even after taking a direct hit on the trail. This design allows for seamless gear changes under the heaviest pedaling loads.

This model features a "Magic Wheel" lower pulley that continues to rotate even if an object, such as a stick or debris, becomes lodged in it. This innovation prevents the drivetrain from jamming and protects the derailleur from damage during technical riding. The derailleur is fully wireless and integrates with the AXS ecosystem for easy setup and customization. Note that this component requires a T-Type chain and cassette to function correctly and is designed specifically for UDH-compatible frames.
