Fender Washers are used to prevent pull-though and provide a greater bearing surface under the fastener. This prevents nuts, bolts or screws from pulling through the base material. Extra Thick Fender Washers are much thicker than a standard Fender Washer (For Example a 1/4" x 1-1/4" Standard is 0.050 inches thick, whereas an Extra Thick is Max 0.125 - Min 0.100 inches). They can also be used to fasten holes that are too large or have rust around the edges.
